Saddle up sapphics and let’s go lesbians, SAPPHIC DISCO is back at Verdict again for a special pre public holiday PURE DISCO edition. Running at an earlier time of 8pm - 12am on Sunday 26th April (public holiday next day!) we will have our DJs playing disco and disco-house all night long, and nothing else. If you're the dressing up kind, don your finest disco and glittering attire, but if you're not the dressing up kind, come as you are! There's no pressure to dress up - wear what makes you happy! 

VERDICT upstairs at The Court (accessible by lift) has lots of room to party, comfy plush seating where you can sit and relax and chat when you don't feel like dancing, a bigger stage for our acts and a shiny lighting rig, private dedicated bathrooms for Sapphic Disco (no more sharing with other events!), and our own dedicated rooftop deck! Sapphic Disco is now fully contained in its own space with its own separate entrance, meaning we can keep the space safer than ever before. 

You know the score, this event sells out the club every time, so don't wait!

Pop up tiny flash tattoos with Upbeat Ink have become a staple of our event and we're happy to say they'll be continuing! FREE TINY TATTOOS 8PM - 9PM (paid thereafter). 

This is a silly, fun, camp, tongue-in-cheek, sapphic-focused party! We’re here to have a silly fun time, have a dance and enjoy each other’s company. We want this to be a welcoming, inclusive, warm, non-judgmental space for sapphics and their queer friends to socialise and party. 

Let’s celebrate the sapphics with DJs, live performances, free lollipops, candy necklaces and bubble wands, cocktail specials, and lots of space to chill and chat at Verdict upstairs at The Court!

This is a sapphic focused party primarily welcoming sapphic-identified women, trans folks and gender nonconforming queer people, who are invited to come exactly as they are and enjoy the space freely. 

We have a ZERO TOLERANCE policy on harassment, hate speech, racism, non-consensual touching, and any other behaviour that makes folks uncomfortable. If at any time you feel unsafe, please let a member of staff at Verdict (The Court) know. Anyone behaving in an unsafe manner will be evicted from the event. REMEMBER: if you see/hear something, please say something to staff immediately. 

A note on consent: anything but an enthusiastic verbal YES is not consent. Remember to ASK FOR CONSENT before you touch someone in any way at all. 

I’M A STRAIGHT MAN OR STRAIGHT PRESENTING CISGENDER QUEER MAN - CAN I ATTEND?
Straight men are encouraged not to attend, as this event simply is not intended for them. Gay and queer men are welcomed, but are asked to please understand that this event is primarily a space for sapphic-identifying women, trans and gender nonconforming people, and that keeping this space feeling safe and welcoming for who it was created for is our number one priority. Please consider carefully how you present and behave in the space, with the safety of the sapphics around you strongly in mind. 

Men, if you’re planning on coming down and partying with us, you MUST wear something that obviously identifies you as a safe person e.g. colourful rainbow or glittery or queer-coded clothing, a PRIDE pin or badge, etc. This helps our attendees feel safe around you at a glance. If you arrive and are not dressed in line with this, please be prepared to be turned away at the door.

You must be kind, courteous, open minded and respectful at all times. Upon arrival and entry, please be prepared for event staff to check in with you to ensure you are a safe person. With your help, we can keep this space feeling welcoming and safe for people who often don't feel safe at events and venues elsewhere.
